Reign of Thunder Announced by Day 1 Studios

Day 1 Studios, behind MechAssault and Fear, has announced a new free to play online shooter game – Reign of Thunder, which is estimated to be released in late 2012. Powered by graphics engine called Despair, Reign of Thunder will have a direct competition with titles such as MechWarrior online, Mech Tactics and Hawken.

You can play in Reign of Thunder with up to 16 people on the battlefield and it will play. In addition to the usual modes such as Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, you have to prove you in mission-based game modes.

Reign of Thunder offers action-packed battles between giant robots. Of course, there is a multiplayer mode in which you can establish a a clan and also design your own mechs for free. To make things as accessible, Reign of Thunder will be released with a free-to-play model.
